Supplies needed for Dare2Play

On Friday, May 17th from 3-6PM the Olmsted School Foundation in partnership with Tinkering School of Buffalo will be hosting the first ever Dare2Play Celebration at Olmsted at Kensington for students in grades 5-12.  This is a fundraiser for the Olmsted School Foundation. We are in the process of gathering supplies. We enthusiastically welcome donations of the following materials for various projects and stations students will participate in:

Free Build/ Pop up Playground:

large headed nails (1-2″)
2X4 pieces of wood (as many as possible)
small pieces of wood
pvc tubes, small amount
thin large wooden plank (as many as possible)
Also, Melissa from Tinkering School has requested to borrow a drill or two- if any parent is willing to lend one.

For other games and projects:

Hula Hoops

Jump ropes

Washable sidewalk chalk

Balloons (for water balloon toss)


Drinking straws

String, yarn or twine

Duct Tape


Egg cartons (empty, of course)

Bubble wrap

Plastic or vinyl tablecloths (to use as drop cloths)

Craft sticks

Cotton balls


Drop off date for large items (supplies for the Free build/ playground) is May 10th at Olmsted at Kensington (back door near parking lot).  Smaller items will be accepted in Mrs. Walsh’s classroom until the day of the event.
